Step by Step - HMDS

We have chosen to be strong, but it is not our only possible choice.  We have taken a great challenge.  We will participate to HMDS – Half Marathon des Sables.  We will walk 100km in the desert, in self-sufficiency way.

We … we are Sophie & Isabelle.  Friends since decades. Young 50’ers, young in heart, mind & hopefully legs.  We have chosen to be strong, but it is not our only choice.  It is a deliberate choice.

For so many people it is however the only choice to be strong & brave … so many people need to be strong when struck by cancer.  Cancer diagnosis is unfortunately given to persons around us every day.  We all know someone (very) nearby or a little further who recovered from cancer, or others currently suffering from and fighting against cancer, or others who were strong but did not win the unfair battle against it. 

We therefore want to dedicate our challenge to all people not having the chance to deliberately choose, but being forced to be strong & brave.  The research against cancer and the help for patients & their family is a continuous need and without financial help would not exist.
