Pourquoi ce projet vous tient-il à cœur ?

Que ce soit directement ou indirectement, tout le monde est confronté au cancer un jour ou l’autre. Nous connaissons tous un membre de la famille, un collègue, un ami… qui lutte ou a lutté contre cette maladie. Nous savons donc combien elle impacte ceux qui en souffrent mais aussi leur entourage. C'est pourquoi, en tant que département, nous avons décidé à l'unanimité de soutenir la Fondation contre le cancer et donc, à travers elle, toutes les personnes touchées et leurs proches.

La lutte contre le cancer est aussi une réalité pour certains de nos collègues. Par nos actions, nous souhaitons leur (re)donner du courage et leur montrer qu'ils ne sont pas seuls. Ensemble, nous partons au combat !

Quel est votre objectif ?

L’Easy Banking Centre de BNP Paribas Fortis se compose de 8 sites répartis sur l'ensemble du territoire national. Chaque site entend prendre des initiatives et entreprendre des actions pour soutenir la Fondation contre le cancer. En outre, une initiative commune consiste en une escapade à vélo de 3 jours (du 5 au 7 juin) qui relie les différentes implantations de notre département. Lorsque nous atteindrons la ligne d'arrivée le 7 juin, nous remettrons à la Fondation contre le cancer l'argent que nous aurons récolté.

Aujourd’hui, une femme sur trois et un homme sur quatre sont touchés par le cancer avant leur 75ème anniversaire. C’est pourquoi la Fondation contre le Cancer lutte pour augmenter les chances de guérison par la recherche, diminuer les risques de cancer par la prévention et améliorer la qualité de vie des personnes touchées, avant et après la maladie par un soutien social.
